Game Updates

Hope everyone’s summer has been amazing!

It’s been awhile since we last sent an update so wanted to say hi and let everyone know the latest with the game. Some exciting things are in the works!

New Expansion

Although still in the early stages, we are working on the newest expansion for REDLINE: Tactical Card Combat.

We can’t say much at the moment except the new expansion will be our biggest yet as it will feature all 4 factions together for the first time. The set has a name, (it’s a secret!) and we’re excited about the new mechanics and opening up gameplay with lots of awesome new efreets and locations for players to fight with.  

We are currently aiming for 2026 Kickstarter and release. Expect more information as the set continues development.

Nauk Nauk - Check this out! Nauk Nauk is a new AI app designed to animate action figures, miniatures and artwork with smooth animation. It’s still a bit new and in active development, but the results speak for themselves. Being able to see a EF-31 Hauthorn in action with guns blazing is pretty spectacular! This will be a fun new toy to play with for sure!

Missing Shipmment Update

As some of you may know,  in our last update we notified that a small handful of backers had not yet received their orders and to notify us if affected. Turns out a few had incomplete shipping addresses on file or had missed shipping, but there were a small amount of orders that were not shipped due to a missed duplicate SKU table error with our distributor. 

We had received notification from our distributor last Friday, April 4th, of the double SKU issue and that orders could be fixed, reuploaded and sent out shortly as it seemed the fix was simple. We resubmitted fixed orders and updated our backers on Sunday the 6th about the situation and that missed orders would be shipped the following day. 

However we didn't get confirmation of the fix being received or an update on the shipment of the missed double SKU orders until today from the distributor. It appears the reupload of the orders may have been missed when we submitted last Sunday. Regardless, they are now on track for shipping and will be mailed out in concordance with their regular carrier schedule. That exact time frame was not provided but should be soon. A few may even have gone out today. 

Orders that did not ship due to adjustments with address or shipping fees are being handled in a separate, smaller, shipping wave that is currently behind two other Kickstarter campaigns who are being handled first and so will take longer to mail. If it is any compensation, the REDLINE team has not even received their product yet as we wanted to make sure backers got their hands on materials first, so we are waiting as well to receive the game. 

We will be working with our distributor to increase communication and expectations between both parties going forward as these were never issues in the past. Our distributor has been good to us throughout our previous Kickstarter campaigns when we first started and are currently helping us with distribution to local game stores. But there have been some hiccups with our current campaign as can be seen to iron out. 

We apologize for the frustration caused by this. As always, we want to be clear and transparent with our players on the issues we face, but this requires waiting for solid information to share which we are waiting for as much as you.

Greetings, REDLINE Army!

Wanted to update with some odds and ends now that our REDLINE: Payday Kickstarter has shipped. Consider this more of a spring cleaning email as we update on some odds and ends as we move on from our newest expansion.

Website, shipping, tariff and game updates incoming!

Website Updated

We’ve updated REDLINEgame.com with updated rules featuring the addition of the REDLINE: Payday expansion. Ruling details on the new expansion mechanics and game factions have been added.

In addition, we have updated our online store with the new Payday deck expansions and Payday miniatures! Did you know we had 19 REDLINE miniatures available now for purchase? How cool is that!

Also good news! The REDLINE Core Set is back in stock!

We ran out of our original supply leading up to our Payday Kickstarter but we have them again. Everything you need to get two players ready to start playing REDLINE right out of the box!

We’ve also added new playmats to the store to help customize your REDLINE playing experience.

If you missed our Kickstarter then now is the time to dive into the world of REDLINE and start assembling your squad of efreets for battle! Don’t forget to bring a friend!

Backer Order Update  

By now most of our US Kickstarter orders have been delivered with international orders soon to be or already having arrived depending on location.

However, we did detect a shipping anomaly from our distributor where orders with duplicate SKUs DID NOT SHIP. This was an error on their side with their tracking. Those affected orders will be shipping Monday and we apologize for the delay when we know you have been so patiently waiting all this time.

Tariffs

A few players have asked us about how the new tariff and looming trade war will affect REDLINE: Tactical Card Combat so we figured we should address any fears of increased prices.

While the new tariffs will undoubtedly lead to higher prices in the gaming industry as most product in the space is made in China, for the moment they will not affect REDLINE. We were lucky in that we managed to get our latest order a few months before the new tariffs took place.

While this could have an impact on future expansions, it is too hard to predict the future these days and so that will be a bridge we cross when we get there. It is our hope that by the time we are ready to start looking at manufacturing costs again the traffic will be a thing of the past.

REDLINE Future Plans  

It may be hard to imagine, but we started working on REDLINE: Payday two years ago! At the time, we did not expect it would take so long to release our 3rd expansion, so suffice it to say, we are quite relieved to have this important milestone behind us!  

Payday’s Kickstarter campaign was important not only because it finally introduced the new Industrial and Mercenary factions we had planned for from the game’s beginning, but it also allowed us to restock our depleted inventory which had slowed down the growth of the game. No Core sets is no bueno for growing the player base.

Soon we’ll be adding REDLINE for purchase through Amazon which we hope will increase our exposure. We are also will be looking to work with more local games stores to carry the game. Shout out to Gamers Guild, the largest game store in AZ for already carrying us!

While not entirely REDLINE related, I will also be presenting a seminar this summer at Phoenix Fan Fusion on bootstrap game design which I am very excited for!

And finally, preliminary work has begun on the next REDLINE expansion…. While we have no concrete details to share yet, it will be our biggest expansion to date with new additions coming to all four factions in the game!

We received word from our distributor that orders for our REDLINE: Payday Kickstarter are packed and ready for shipment next week. Hooray! 

US orders should arrive first with international orders taking longer depending on distance naturally.

Fullfillment Update

Hello REDLINE Army. 

Quick update on the stall we are facing regarding fulfillment at the moment. The stall is happening with our distributor and due largely to a series of badly timed events. 

Our product arrived to the distributor back on Jan 17th. However this does not mean fulfillment is imminent as we have to wait our turn in line to have our orders shipped out since they work everything in batches. Right before the holidays the distributor was bought by new ownership and late January is when they decided to reorganize their warehouse to which they informed us this would put a pause on any distribution of new products for 2-3 weeks. 

Aware there was a likely backlog and having not heard anything in some time we reached out again late Feb for an update but our contact was at the 2025 GAMA Expo and unable to reply being out of the office. 

We finally got a reply over the weekend from the distributor about our stall and we were informed they would look into it and give us an update. 

We are currently waiting for that updated timetable.

Very frustrating of course. We were hoping to notify once we had heard something solid from the distributor but its getting very long without an update and so we wanted to peel the curtain back and let everyone know the reason for the delay. 

REDLINE is here. We are just waiting same as you. 

Soon as we hear back we will update again with a scheduled fulfillment date.
